Cancer is one of the most significant health concerns worldwide and remains the second leading cause of death. According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer, an estimated 19.3 million new cancer cases and more than 10 million cancer-related deaths occurred globally in 2020.
Researchers have reported that fenbendazole demonstrates promising anti-cancer activity in experimental studies. However, one major limitation has consistently reduced its therapeutic effectiveness: poor water solubility.

Because fenbendazole dissolves very poorly in water, only a small amount is absorbed after it is swallowed. Its reported water solubility is approximately 0.3 μg/mL, making it difficult for the drug to reach the bloodstream at concentrations that may affect tumors.
A simple demonstration helps illustrate this concept. Open a fenbendazole capsule and pour the powder into a glass of water. The powder will float and remain undissolved. Now repeat the experiment using a small amount of oil instead of water. The powder readily disperses and dissolves into the oil.
The same principle applies inside the body. When fenbendazole is taken without dietary fat, relatively little of the drug is absorbed. When taken with fat, it dissolves more effectively, allowing a greater amount to pass through the digestive tract and into the bloodstream. For this reason, many users intentionally consume fenbendazole with a source of dietary fat rather than on an empty stomach.
Improving fenbendazole’s effectiveness begins with improving its absorption. The following recommendations summarize approaches commonly reported by individuals who have self-administered fenbendazole.

One of the first dietary changes many people make is reducing their intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose, which serves as an important energy source for both healthy cells and cancer cells. Many people therefore choose to limit carbohydrates while undergoing cancer treatment. Keep in mind that some vegetables, including potatoes, corn, and carrots, also contain relatively high amounts of carbohydrates.
If you take fenbendazole orally, consuming a source of dietary fat at about the same time may improve absorption. Recent research has also suggested that salicylic acid (aspirin) may further enhance absorption. As a result, some individuals who self-administer fenbendazole choose to take one 81 mg aspirin with the same meal. However, aspirin is not appropriate for everyone. Always consult your healthcare provider before adding aspirin to your routine, particularly if you take blood thinners or other medications that could interact with it. Aspirin should only be taken with your fenbendazole dose, not with every meal.
Researchers have long recognized that lipid-based drug delivery systems can improve the absorption of medications that dissolve poorly in water. Oils, surfactants, and other lipid formulations are among the most widely used approaches for increasing the oral bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs.

Based on reports shared by individuals who have self-administered fenbendazole, the following foods are commonly used as dietary fat sources:
Avocados
Full-fat yogurt
MCT oil
Peanut butter
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Real butter
Almond butter (without added oils)
Fish oil capsules
Eggs
Hemp oil
Flaxseed oil
Users have also shared several food combinations that they believe work well when taking fenbendazole:
Mix the fenbendazole powder into cottage cheese and add one tablespoon of flaxseed oil or MCT oil.
Eat a high-fat meal, such as steak, salmon, cheese, or a baked potato topped with butter, before taking fenbendazole.
Open the capsule, mix the powder into one tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil or MCT oil, and consume the mixture. If preferred, spread the oil onto toast instead of drinking it directly.
Mix the powder into one or two tablespoons of peanut butter, or prepare a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich.
Take fenbendazole while following a higher-fat ketogenic diet.
Mix the powder into 5% Greek yogurt with one tablespoon of olive oil or MCT oil.
Combine the powder with full-fat coconut yogurt and a small amount of MCT oil.
Take fenbendazole with a high-fat dinner and a glass of whole milk.
Mix the powder into homemade mayonnaise.
